Artistic Philosophy

I shoot in natural light; God’s light is better than flash any day. So to borrow a quote from Bono, “I just hope when the day is done I’ve been able to tear a little corner off of the darkness.”

Great photography should evoke emotions & create a nostalgic feeling of fondness towards the subject being photographed. That is my single goal when shooting a subject.

About Your Shoot

I will come to the location of your choice for your photo session. For toddlers, I suggest you use a familiar setting. With the older kids & families it is fun to try a new location for you to explore.

I shoot in natural light. My favorite time to take outdoor pictures is early morning or late afternoon when the light is at its best.
